Over 30 years working in the energy and water efficiency field have given Bing deep understanding and insights into the industry’s marketplace and trends. Since taking over the helm in 2014, he has overseen SBW’s growth, increased its diversity, and guided transitions in a changing market. He has a proven track record of effectively guiding the scope, schedule, and budget for both simple and complex projects to meet client expectations. His work history includes turnkey operation of industrial, commercial, and multifamily efficiency programs, comprehensive commercial and industrial evaluations, energy audits, and measurement-based research into new technologies for clients nationwide. These include Bonneville Power Administration, Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Energy Trust of Oregon, Avista, California Public Utilities Commission, Pacific Gas & Electric, Silicon Valley Power, National Grid USA, and many others. He frequently presents at industry conferences and has served on a variety of advisory groups, including the California Technical Forum.
Bing has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and is a registered mechanical engineer in Washington State.
