Small businesses have traditionally been a tough nut for efficiency programs to crack. From January 2022 through February 2023, Lattice Energy’s team installed energy-efficient lighting and equipment at little or no cost to participating businesses.
Our outreach and engagement focused on customer satisfaction, energy savings, community partnership, and workforce development aligned with the City of Seattle’s Race and Social Justice Initiative.
The program successfully served 249 businesses, installing over 37,000 efficiency measures, and achieving nearly 2.8 million kWh/year of savings. Most of these businesses were in environmental justice communities and/or were women- or minority-owned.
