Senior Engineer

Mahsa Safari is an energy efficiency and decarbonization specialist with more than seven years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating utility and public-sector energy efficiency programs. She has led and supported commercial, industrial, residential, and new construction initiatives for utilities, government agencies, and research organizations across North America.

Dr. Safari has extensive experience in commercial building energy analysis, program implementation support, energy modeling, savings estimation, impact evaluation, and cost-effectiveness analysis. Her work includes managing multidisciplinary project teams, developing technical methodologies, analyzing metered and benchmarking data, supporting Technical Reference Manual (TRM) development, and evaluating building performance using EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and other advanced analytical tools. Dr. Safari holds a Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, where her research focused on scalable approaches to commercial building energy retrofits and stakeholder-driven energy efficiency program delivery.
